7 Days 6 Nights Meghalaya Tour Package
- Day 1: Guwahati - Shillong: On the first day upon arrival at Guwahati, our representati will meet you and welcome you. After that, we take you to Shillong, known as the Scotland of East which takes around 3 hrs. Shillong will be your host for the first day of the tour. Enroute take a short tea break at Borapani lake(Umium Lake). On reaching Shillong check-in at hotel. Dinner at hotel. Overnight stay at shillong.
- Day 2: Shillong: Breakfast at hotel . After breakfast tour start for the day .You will visit the most famous attractions in Shillong. Start with a visit to Ward's lake then Shillong cathedral, Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures and proceed to most beautiful masterpiece on earth the Laitlum canyon and Smit village. It takes around 2 hrs to reach this place from Shillong city. Spend some quality time enjoying the fresh air at Laitlum canyon. You can also go trekking down the stairs and observe the stunning surrounding closely.Return back to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at Shillong.
- Day 3: Shillong - Cherrapunji: Breakfast at hotel , after breakfast drive to Cherrapunji, one of the mystical regions on earth also acclaimed as the place with the highest rainfall in the world. Enroute visit Elephant Falls. On reaching visit Mawkdok Dumbed valley, Nohkalikai Falls, Arwah cave, Mawsmai cave and Nohsngithiang Falls or Seven sister falls, Eco Park and Dainthlen falls..After a whole day of sightseeing return to your hotel in the evening. Dinner in the hotel . Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
- Day 4: Cherrapunji: Breakfast in the hotel . After breakfast you can go for trekking in the Double decker root bridge and enjoy the stunning root bridge and the small footbridges over giggling stems, green forest and beautiful villages. To see the double decker root bridge you need to go down around 3500 steps. The trek takes around 6 - 7 hrs to complete for a novice. It's a moderate track except senior citizens and children below age 10 anyone can try it.Return to hotel in the evening and take rest.or If you are not interested to visit Double decker root bridge then you can go for a tour in Mawsynram. Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
- Day 5: Cherrapunji - Mawlynnong - Dawki: Breakfast at hotel . After breakfast you will visit the cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong village. Apart from the wonderful Nohwet living root bridge(Jingmaham Living Root Bridge) located nearby you can also experience climbing in a skywalk and have some traditional lunch in a homestay in the village.Post lunch visit Dawki a small town located on the south-eastern border of Meghalaya where you can enjoy boating and other adventure Falls. Dawki is renowned for crystal clear waters where everything seems to be floating from the top. Enroute stop at spectacular Bohill falls. After a full day of enjoyment return to your homestay at Mawlynnong/Dawki and spend the evening at rest. Overnight stay at Mawlynnong.
- Day 6: West Jaintia Hills - Krangshuri falls: Breakfast in the homestay . Then proceed to explore Jaintia hills and some thrilling waterfalls including Krangshuri falls and then we stop at Trishi falls and return to Guwahati in the afternoon. Dinner at hotel . Overnight stay at Guwahati.
- Day 7: Guwahati - Departure: Breakfast at hotel . Post breakfast drops you at Guwahati railway station/ Airport for your onwards journey.
